Yizumi SpaceA Technology: Modular and Efficient 3D Printing with Thermoplastics

Yizumi’s SpaceA technology enables the creation of solid parts through the layer-by-layer deposition of a molten thermoplastic strand. As each layer solidifies, a strong and cohesive component is formed.

The system is designed around four key principles that promote cost-effective and flexible manufacturing:

  • Integration of a screw-based extruder

  • Use of a 6-axis robotic positioning system

  • High modularity of the entire setup

  • Control via an industry-standard automation system

The production process begins with the drying of raw material in a dedicated dryer unit (1), which is included as standard in all system configurations. The dried pellets are then conveyed to the extruder (2)—a lightweight, compact single-screw extruder weighing just 6.5 kg. Inside the extruder, the thermoplastic is melted and discharged in a precisely controlled manner.

The final part is built on the construction platform (3), guided by the relative movement of the robotic positioning system (4), enabling accurate and complex geometries to be produced.

Three System Lines for Different Needs

Yizumi offers SpaceA technology in three modular system lines, each designed to meet specific production needs.
This modular approach ensures that SpaceA systems are adaptable—from small workshop setups to full-scale industrial environments—delivering scalable, flexible, and future-ready 3D printing technology.

  • S-Line : A compact, plug-and-play All-in-One 3D printer. Ideal for general-purpose additive manufacturing, it includes all essential components—dryer, extruder, robot, and software—in a mobile, easy-to-deploy unit.

  • B-Line : A high-performance, large-scale solution for industrial environments. With larger KUKA arms, multiple extruder options (up to 20 kg/h), and flexible build platforms, the B-Line is built for demanding production tasks.

  • C-Line : A fully customized configuration based on the S- or B-Line. Designed in close collaboration with customers, the C-Line enables advanced functionalities such as integrated milling, vision systems, sensor technology, automated plate handling, and full-scale industrial automation.
